How to Recognize a Professional Roofing Company

When it comes to roofing, you want a professional who will take the time to get things done right. While some great contractors are out there, there are also some bad apples. You don’t want your roof to get the short end of the stick regarding workmanship and professionalism. If you need roof repairs or replacement, here are some suggestions about how to recognize a professional roofing company so that you can feel comfortable with your decision.

How to recognize a professional roofing company – check out these four ways

1. Check out the roofer’s website

The first thing you should do is check out the company’s website. A professional roofing company will have a well-designed and easy-to-navigate website that provides information about their services and contact information for inquiries or appointments. The site should also include the company’s history, completed projects, and testimonials from past clients. If a website doesn’t have this kind of content, you might want to consider looking elsewhere.

2. Find reviews online

The next step is to look for reviews online. You can do this by searching for the company’s name and checking out their website, as well as other websites with reviews of local companies. If you don’t find what you’re looking for on the company’s own site, try searching social media sites such as Yelp or Angie’s List. Don’t forget to check the Better Business Bureau rating. If these still don’t turn up any results, try contacting one or two former customers directly via email (with their permission) and asking them about their experience working with your potential roofing contractor.

3. Ask for references

If you want to know whether a roofing company is reliable and trustworthy, ask them for references from previous customers. A professional roofing company should be able to provide you with at least five or six customer names, along with contact information for each one of them. You can then call these customers and ask about their experience working with the company.

4. Put your contractor to the test

When you’re looking to hire a professional roofing company, one of the best ways to test them is by asking for a free estimate. If they don’t offer one, then they are not interested in your business! You can also test them by asking for a free inspection of your current roof or potential project site before deciding who you want working on your property. If they don’t offer this service without charge, then it’s best to move on and find someone else who does offer it as part of their standard services as part of doing business with them.

While this isn’t a complete list of how to recognize a professional roofing company, this should help get you started in the right direction. We hope you’ll consider working with Summit Roofing Solutions LLC for your next roofing project.

“Our home in Loveland had several layers of shingles, gutter, underlayment, and soffit damage.  It needed a nearly 100% replacement.  A call to the local roofing suppliers for whom to select led to Summit roofing, and we are glad, after much prodding to have gotten the recommendation.  This roofing project took considerable time to coordinate the assessment, insurance, and discovery throughout the process. The work itself was completed in a couple of days without any mess left on the property.  We know it will be long before we ever need another roof, but we are happy to leave an unsolicited recommendation if it helps others make the difficult decision.”
